今、月に数回病院に通っています。
（深刻ではないので心配しないでくださいね!）

As some of you know, I go to the hospital
several times a month.


専門的な病院に行った方がいいと思い
実は６月に病院を変わりました。
今の病院では初日に大量の資料を貰い
びっくりしました。

Actually, I changed hospitals in June, since
I thought I needed more specialized treatment.

I was very surprised because the hospital
I'm going now gave me so much information
on the first day.


薬を処方する時も、どんな副作用があるかなど
詳しく説明して、意志の確認をしてくださいます。

When the doctor prescribes some medication,
he explains a lot what kind of side-effects
it has, and don't forget to check my will.


待合室にはいろんな情報が置いてあり、
スタッフの方々もみんな親切です。

I can find a lot of information in the waiting room,
and all the stuffs are so kind.


最近まで、病院が嫌いで病気の時も
行こうとしなかった人で、全くもって詳しくはないですが
今の病院は気に入っています。なんだか信頼できます。

Until recently, I refused to go to the hospital
even when I got sick, so I don't know much
about hospitals.
However, I can say that I like this hospital
and I think doctors are quite reliable.


治療を受ける時にお医者さんを信頼できるか
どうかってとても大事なことですよね。
いい病院、いい先生にめぐり合えてよかったです＊＊

It's very important whether we can trust the doctor
or not when we get medical treatment.

I am lucky because I could find good hospital
and reliable doctors.

「吾唯足知」
吾（われ）唯（ただ）足るを知る

One who knows enough is enough will be always happy.

先日神社を訪れた際に見つけた言葉。
禅の精神から来た言葉だそうです。

I found this word when I visited a shrine the other day.
It's a word from 'Zen' mind.


足るを知る者は貧しといえども富めり、
足るを知らぬ者は富めりといえども貧し

If we know to be content, our mind can always be rich.
If we don't know to be content, then we can never be
rich in mind even with much money.


なんだかとても共感しました。
ないものばかりに目を向けて、欲望の尽きない世の中です。
でも、実際私たちは恵まれてるのではないでしょうか。
今あるもの、今できることに感謝して日々過ごしていけたらなと思う
今日この頃です＊＊

I deeply agreed with this thought.
We tend to focus on what we don't have, and
our wants will be endless.

However, we already have many things, don't we?
It's better to stop thinking that way
and thank what we have now, what we can do now.
This is what I think these days.

家の近くに、「吉備土手麦酒」という麦酒の製造所があります。
そこれはオリジナルのビールを造っています。
実際、ビールではなく発泡酒なのですが。
味はビールより美味しい！！


There is a small brewery named "Kibidote-beer" near our house.
They make their original beer, actually, not beer,
they make low-malt beer.
I like it better than beer!

そこのオーナーさんが素敵な方で。
ビールを作ることにすごく情熱を持っていらっしゃいます。
ビールの製造許可を取るのはかなり大変らしく、それで
発泡酒でオリジナルのビールを作っています。


The owner is very nice.
He has a great passion for creating his own beer.
Once he told us that he wanted to creat beer, though
it's very difficult to get the license to creat beer,
so he is challenging with low-malt ones.


そこで食べたり、飲んだりもできるし
ビールを買って帰ることもできます。
味は６種類くらいあるのですが、飲めるビールは
ビールの発酵状態とかで日によって変わります。
たいてい３，４種類の中から選びます。

We can eat and drink there, and also we can buy beers.
There are 6 or 7 kinds of beers, though, the beers
we can taste the day differs according to the
fermentation levels.
Usually, we choose from 3 or 4 choices.


値段もお手頃で一杯２５０円（中ジョッキ）から。
普通の居酒屋さんと比べたら半額くらいですよね。

The price is quite reasonable.
One pint is from 250 yen!
Compare to normal izakaya, Japanese style pubs,
it's about the half price.

味は、ほんとおいしいのです。
発泡酒だとは思えない。
私はビールあまり飲みません。乾杯の時くらいで
あとはカクテルとかに変えてしまいます。
でもここのビールはビールだけでも十分なのです。

And the taste is... splendid!
I can't believe it's a low-malt one!
I don't drink beer a lot. Usually I just drink it
to make toast and change into cocktails.
But I love Kibidote beer, it's okay only with beer.



昨夜はリラが１０リットルのビールを購入。
ビールサーバーまで借りてきてくれました。
生ビールが家で味わえるのっていいですね！
リラ、ありがとう〜＊＊
立派な仕事振りでございました。


Last night Rila bought 10 litter beer
and rented beer server to enjoy at home.
It was very nice to enjoy the draft beer at home^^

明日は６時までレッスンがあるので今夜か
明日朝しか残された時間はないのです・・・。

Tomorrow, Rila's collegue will come over to
our house, so I have to clean up from now.
Actually, I'm not good at cleaning rooms...
However, I don't want to show them the messy rooms,
I definitely need to do it!

I have lessons until 6 p.m. tomorrow, so
the time left for me is tonight and tomorrow morning...
Uhhh, I need to keep our house tidy in everyday life.

私、けっこう型から入る人間かもしれません。

I might be a kind of person who needs to be
well-equipped before trying hard.


実は自分の体に関することでちょっと問題があり
（そんなに深刻なことではないので心配しないでくださいね）
月に数回病院に通わなければいけません。

To tell the truth, I've got a problem concerning my body.
(not so serious, so please do not worry!)
I need to go to the hospital several times a month.


この前の日曜にもっと前向きにがんばろう！！
と決意しました。
もちろん、今までも努力はしていたのですが
意志がまだ弱くて、薬飲み忘れることがあったりで。
（そりゃいかんやん！て自分ツッコミ＾＾；）
すごく忘れっぽい人間で。

Last Sunday, I made up my mind to be more positive to
get over the problem.
Of course, I had been trying to get better,
though, I think my will wasn't strong enough because
sometimes I forgot to take the medicine....
I'm so forgetful....


より前向きになるために、神社に参拝してきました。
いいと言われるサプリメントや、ご利益があるという
グッズも買いました。
風水的に植物が家にあった方がよいとのことで
観葉植物も買いました。

To be more positive, I went to the shrine to make a wish.
I bought some supplements and goods which are said to
have good luck.
According to feng shui, it's good to put some plants
inside the house, so I bought a house plant.


今はいいエネルギーで囲まれてるような気がします。
病は気から！
自分を信じて。そう、大丈夫！

Now I feel like I'm surrounded by good energy.
Illness starts in the mind.
Believe in myself, yes, I can do it!

エスニック料理大好き人間です。
その中でも好きなのは、インド料理！！

I love ethnic restaurants, and among them, I especially
love Indian restaurants.

兵庫県にいた頃は、２ヶ月に１回くらいは行っていました。
(いや、もっと行ってたかも?）

When I was in Hyogo, I went to Indian restaurants
once in two months or more.

三宮にはインド料理やさんがたくさんあって
「食べ放題」の店もけっこうありました。
できたてのナンを好きなだけ食べられるというのは
なんとも幸せな一時でありました＊＊

There were many Indian restaurants in Sannomiya
and some of them offered "eat as much as you like".
It was a very happy moment. I could eat nans,
which were made just a few minutes ago, as much as I like!

岡山にもインド料理やさんはあるのですが
そこまで数はなくて、「食べ放題」があるところは稀です。
恋しくなって、インド料理を食べるがために三宮に
行ったこともあります。

In Okayama, there are Indian restaurants, but not many.
And they rarely offer "eat as much as you like."
I once went to Sannomiya only to visit my favorite
Indian restaurant.

最近、２号線沿いにインド料理やさん｢ソニー」がオープンし
そこはランチバイキングをしているんですね。
ずっと前を通るたびにどんな感じか気になって・・・。

Recently, an Indian restaurant "Sohni" newly opened along the route 2,
and they have all-you-can-eat buffet at lunchtime!
Everytime I pass in front of the restaurant, I wondered
what it's like.

今日、ついに行くことができました＾＾
大好きなインドカレーとナン、特にできたてのナン
（途中で熱々がでてきた〜＾＾）を食べれてHAPPYです。
平日９８０円、土日祝１１８０円まので値段もなかなか。
ナンがいっぱい食べたくなったらまた行きたいです。

Today, at last, I could visit there!
I was happy to have my favorite Indian curries
and nans, especially hot nans!
The price is, 980 yen on weekdays, 1180 yen on weekends and holidays.
I think it's quite reasonable.
When I feel like eating nans, I want to visit again!


そしてこちらは先日当たったスイーツの一部。
奥の二つ、いただきました＾＾すご〜〜〜く、おいしかったです＊＊
少しずつ、楽しんでおります♪

It's very important to have a rest on a holiday!
We went to the cafe "haberi" (in Okayama) to have
our favorite cheese cake this afternoon.

バナナミルクラッシーとラズベリーラッシー
もセットで注文☆
ケーキもドリンクもおいしかったです＊＊＊

We chose banana milk lassi and raspberry lassi
together with the cake.
Both cake and drink were yummy***



レジにて、あるお知らせを発見。
「東京、青山に移転することになりました。
　７月２７日をもって閉店させていただきます。」

When we were at the cash register, I found a notice saying,
"We are moving to Aoyama, Tokyo.
This cafe will be closed on 27th July."

もう岡山ではhaberiのチーズケーキが食べられない（＞＜）
残念です・・・。
でも、同時にとてもラッキーだったなあと思いました。
だって、今日食べることができたから！
実のところ来たのも２回目で、もう何ヶ月もたっていたから。

It's a great pity that we won't be able to
eat haberi's cheese cake in Okayama any more!
But, at the same time we also felt we were very lucky
because we could have chance to eat it today!
Actually, it was our second time to visit the cafe,
and the several months had already past since the last time.

そう、ツイてるんだ♪
「ツイてる」
「ありがとう」
「しあわせだ」
このようないい言葉を口にし続けていると
本当にいい出来事がやってくる♪

いつも、どんな時でも前向きな気持ちで
過ごせたらいいですね＊＊

Yes, we ARE lucky!
Keep saying good words like
"I'm lucky."
"Thank you."
"I'm happy."
then, good happenings will come from somewhere.

It's nice to have positive thinking anytime, anywhere!

This is the sequel of the last article.


お電話をする約束をしていたので
昨日の夜、電話でまたお母様とお話しました。

I promised the student's mom to call,
so I talked with her again on the phone last night.

あの後、家族会議をしたそうで。
子どもも今回は初めて真剣に、まっすぐ目をみて
話をしたとのこと。

After that incident, they had a family meeting.
And while they were talking, the boy got more
serious than ever, he didn't avert his eyes
at all for the first time.


その中で、親の思いや子どもの思い。
それぞれをしっかり伝えて、どうすればいいか
話をして、約束をしたようで。

They told their thoughts each other.
They decided their way
and made some promises.


その子は、自分の意志でがんばると決めた。
私は、その話を聞いて
家族の絆の深まりを感じると共に
自分の持つ責任の重さも身にしみました。

He chose to go on and try his best on his own will.
Hearing this, I felt
the bond between parents and the son had deepend.
And, at the same time,
I realized that I have a heavy responsibility.


今の仕事は大変だけど学ぶことはすごく多い。
子どもからも、親御さんからも多くのことを教わっている。
子どもたちの将来のためにがんばろう。
改めて思いました。

The job which I'm engaged in is not easy,
but I can learn a lot.
I learn many things from children and their parents.
I'll do my best for the their bright future, I have to.

月曜夜、親御さんとお話する中で
自分にとって教訓になるようなことがありました。
私が思っていたより深刻なお話で。
親御さんも生徒も、教室で泣いてしまいました。

On Monday night I got lesson for myself
in the talk with one of my student's mom.
What she wanted to tell me was more serious than I thought.
Mother and her son cried in the classroom.


たとえ私自身がそんなに問題ないと思っていても
親御さんにとっては深刻な問題。
もっと気を配って、みんながどう感じているのか
敏感に感じ取っていけるようになりたいな。
そして、自分にできることは精一杯してあげたい。

Even if I feel it's not so serious matter,
it can be very serious matter for parents.
I need to pay much attention, be more sensitive
how students and their parents feel...
I wanna try my best for them!

今日は徳島県の吉野川にラフティングに行ってきました＾＾

We went to Yoshino River in Tokushima and enjoyed Rafting!!

吉野川は日本一のラフティングスポットといわれている所で
ラフティングをする辺りは大歩危小歩危と呼ばれています。
いくつかリバーガイドショップがあり、一日と半日のコース
を行なっています。

Yoshino River is described as the best rafting spot in Japan.
The place we can try rafting is called "Oboke Koboke"
and some river guide shops offer 1-day or half-day tours.

今日は半日の大歩危コースに参加しました。
5年前に一度したことがあり、その時は１日の小歩危コースでした。

We tried half-day Oboke course today.
Actually, I tried Rafting 5 years ago and
tried 1-day Koboke course then.


長いこと急流・激流を体験してなかったので
ものすご〜〜〜く面白かった！スリル満点でした＾＾
いくつか急流の瀬があって、通るたびにばっしゃ〜ん
とかなり水を浴びました。

As I haven't been on such rapid and rough water
for a long time,it was sooooooo exciting and thrilling!
There were several white water rapids.
Each time, we got lots of water!!

3メートルくらいの高さの崖からの飛び込みもしたりして。
（もっと高いポイントもあります）
もちろん、冷たい水の中泳いだりも＾＾

We also did diving from 3-meter-high cliff.
(there are jumping spots much higher than there)
Of course, we did swimming in the cool river too!

ラフティングはやっぱり楽しい！！！
まだされたことのない方は、一度はされてみてください！
知らない人同士でも、同じボートだとすごく仲良くなったり。
また行きたいな〜〜〜。
綺麗なエメラルド色の吉野川にもいっぱい癒されて
大満足の一日でした＾＾
誘ってくれた友達にも感謝＊＊ありがとうっ＾＾

Rafting is so much fun!!!
If you have never tried it, you should!!!
We can be friends easily, riding on the same boat.
I wanna go there again soon!
Yoshino River is so beautiful with its emerald color.
It was so great day today.
I thank my friend who invited us to go there!

子育てに関わっている方へのお願いです。

For those who are engaged in child raising,

テレビに子守をさせないで。
子どもたちに長時間テレビは見せないで。

Please do not use TV as a baby sitter.
Please do not let your children watch TV for a long time.

テレビが情報たくさん詰まっていて、おもしろい番組
がたくさんあるのもわかります。でも、子どもたち
特に小さい子どもたちにとってはテレビは害以外の
何者でもありません。

I know TV has lots of information and many
interesting programs, however, for children, especially
in their early childhood, TV does nothing but harm.

もし、食事の準備に忙しかったら
台所にいる間、子どもたちの注意がテレビに行くのは
都合がよかったりもするかと思います。

If you are busy preparing meals,
TV is quite useful because it can gather child's attention
while you are in the kitchen.

何もすることがないとき、テレビを見て楽しんだり
もすると思います。

Or, if you have nothing to do, you can use your time
enjoying TV programs.

でも、テレビは深刻な問題を抱えています。
どうしてテレビがよくないのか・・・？
いくつか理由を挙げると

Though, TV viewing has very serious problems.
Here are some reasons why TV is not good;

＊コミュニケーション能力の欠如につながる
＊考える力、読み書きの力がつかない
＊実際の世界を感じにくくなる
＊恐れや不安を広める番組が多い

*It can leads to lack of communication skill.
*It turns children into unthinking and illiterate.
*It makes children less sensitive to real world.
*Many programs tend to spread fear and depression.


家庭からテレビをなくすのは難しいと思います。
でも、見る時間の制限は絶対に！必要です。

I know it's difficult to get rid of television
from home.
However, I strongly think that we have to limit
the time of TV viewing.

Today's good news.
I got Rilakkuma's bath towel!

K先生が、ジョーシン（電気屋さん）に行った時に
貰って、私のリラックマ好きを知っていたので
持って来てくれました＊＊
わ〜〜い＾＾
ありがとうございました＊＊

K teacher got this towel when she went to
Joshin (electric appliance shop).
As she knew I am a big fan of Rilakkuma,
she brought it to me.
That's so kind of her! Thanks a lot!!!

あまりキャラものに興味はないのですが
リラックマだけは例外！大好きです。

I'm not interested in character goods, but
Rilakkuma is the only exception. I love it!


話は変わりますが、生徒のうち二人が夏休みに
海外に行くそうで。
そのうちの一人と今日話をしました。

By the way, two of my students will go abroad
during summer vacation.
I was talking with one of them today,
and told her；

まずは笑顔でいなくっちゃ。
笑顔でいたら友達もすぐできる！

What you need first is smile!
When you're smiling, you can make friends easily.


そして勇気もいるよね。
まちがえることとか気にしちゃだめ！

Then you need courage!
Don't think about making any mistakes.


ジェスチャーは頼りになるよ〜！
何ていったらいいか分からなくても、笑顔とジェスチャー
があればコミュニケーション取れるから。

And, gesture will be a great help!
Even if you don't know what to say, with your smile
and gesture, you can communicate.


最近の子どもたちって、いいなあと思う。
だって早いうちから世界を感じる機会がたくさんあるから。

ああ、私もまた海外行きたいな〜〜〜。
でも今は燃料サーチャージが怖いです・・・（＊＊）

Children today are so lucky I think, because they
have more oppotunity to feel the world.

Geeee, I wanna go abroad too!
But now, we have to be serious about high
fuel surcharge...

先日、オープンして一週間くらいのスーパーに
行きました。

The other day, I went to the supermarket
which opened about a week ago.

お金を払った後、買った食料品を詰めていると
（その日は買い物袋忘れてしまった・・・（＞＜））
入り口横に積み上げられていた雑誌の箱が突然崩壊！

After paying money, when I was packing my groceries,
(I forgot my shopping bag that day...(><))
boxes of magazines which were piled up
by the entrance collapsed suddenly.


すると、おそらく高校生の女の子二人がすぐに駆けつけて
直し始めました。

私も行きたかったのですがまだ詰めている途中だったので
急いで詰めてから向かいました。
おばちゃんも一人お手伝いに。

Then, two girls, maybe high school students, went there
quickly and started fixing them.

I wanted to go, but as I hadn't finished packing yet,
I put my groceries in a hurry and went there.
A middle aged woman came to help, too.


一緒にドアの横に箱を積み上げ、去ろうとした時に
女の子二人が私に
「ありがとうございます」
と丁寧に言った。

We piled boxes up by the door together.
When I was leaving, two girls said to me,
"Thank you."
in a courteous way.


なんていい女の子たちなんだ！
と思いました。
箱が倒れたのはまったくもって彼女たちのせいでは
ないし、一番にかけつけたのは彼女たちなのに。

心優しい女の子たちに会ってちょっと
嬉しくなりました。

What nice girls! I thought.
It's not their fault that made the boxes collapse,
and it was them who were the best helpers.
I was happy to meet such kindhearted girls.

私、川フェチです（笑）
だから景色のいい旭川（岡山です）の近くに
住んでいるのが嬉しかったりします＾＾
今日はお友達の一家とカヌーしてきました。

I am a river fan!
I'm so glad to live close to Asahi river,
which holds beautiful scenary.
Today we went there to enjoy canoeing
with our friends and their sons.


すっごく暑かったです〜〜〜〜☆
もちろん、出る前に日焼け止めは塗ったのですが
それでも、太陽の日差しが肌を焼いている感じ
が伝わってきました。

It was soooo hot.
Of course, I put on sunscreen before
going out, but I still felt my skin burning
by the strong sunshine.


けっこう人が多くて、泳いだり、魚を取ったり
バーベキューしたりしていました。
私たちはインフレータブルカヌーにポンプで
空気を入れて、いざ出発！

There were many people enjoying swimming,
catching fish, and barbecuing.
We pumped air into our inflatable canoe and
paddled out.


二回ほど乗った後はお散歩に。
お気に入りの場所を見つけました＾＾
そこは川の流れが変わるところ。
穏やかな川と荒々しい川の両方が眺められる。
水の流れる音は私にとってまさに
癒しであります＊＊

After having two rides, I walked around.
And I found my favorite spot.
It was the point where the flow changes.
I could see both calm river and rough river from there.
The sound of water flowing made me feel so comfortable!

いいことがいくつかありました＾＾
I have some good news.

まず、先日コメントにもいただいていたのですが
私のブログがかなり重たかったらしく、それでも
パソコンのことはよく分からないので
何もできずにいました。

First of all, I got a comment the other day
telling that my blog was quite heavy.
As I don't know much about PC, I couldn't do anything.


するとブログを通して友達になった方が
親切に助け舟を出してくださいました（涙）
HTMLにかなりエラーがあったようで
それをいろいろ直してくださいました。

Then, a very kind friend of mine, whom I met through
the blog, said he could help me.
He said, there were so many errors in my HTML
and he corrected them.

にブログのアドレスを入れると
−１４１点（１００点満点中）という哀れな状態
から５０点台にまで回復！！
１００点以上、上がりました＊＊

When I put my blog address in HTML grammer checker,
the score was -140 (max100)
What a miserable score!!!
Now the score is over 50.
He managed to get more than 100points! Amazing!


直接会ったこともない私のために
いろいろしてくださって、もう感謝しきれません・・・。
本当に、本当に、ありがとうございました！！！！！

We have never met each other,
though, he kindly did what he could do for me....
I cannot thank him too much...
Thank you so much!!!!!


優しさをいっぱいいただくと、今度は自分が他の人に
優しくなろうって思えます。
誰かが困っている時に私にできることがあればしていこう！！
そんな気持ちでいっぱいです。
こんな風に優しさの輪って広がるのかな＊＊

When I receive a great kindness, I come to think
that it's my turn next to be kind to others.
If I find someone in trouble, I will do what I can do!
My heart is now filled with such feelings.
Kindness starts to circulate like this, maybe?


もう一つよかったこと。

情報誌を読んでいて、ある励みになる記事に出会いました。

I was reading an information magazine and I came across with
an article which encouraged me a lot.


誰かに怒られたり、良くないことがあった時に
「なにくそ」と思うのではなく
「だからこそ」
と思って自分を磨く。

When you are scolded by someone, or something bad happens,
use them as the motives to improve yourself,
not as irritating stuffs.


「なにくそ」という思いでは、やる気は出せても
心の平安は得られない。
「だからこそ」と思うことで
おかげさまの気持ち、感謝の気持ちに結びつく。

With the feeling of anger, you may have energy to try
but you never have the comfort of your mind.

"Thanks to them, I can be better."
If you think this way, it can leads to the feelings of
appreciation and gratitude.


個人的にちょっとトラブルがあり、それでちょっと前まで
なかなか前向きになりきれなかったのですが、今は
「このおかげで、これから自分をいい方に変えていけるんだ」
と思えるようになりました。

I've got some personal prpblems and that's why
I'd been depressed untill recently.
Now I've come to think
"Thanks to them, I can change myself for the better."


何気なく読んだものがすごく力をくれたりする時ってありますよね。
この記事に出会えたことに感謝(*^^*)

Sometimes the ones you happen to read
can give us great power.
I appreciate the meeting with this article!

人生は思った通りになる。
Our life follows the way we think.

自分の人生を築くのは自分の心。
人生だめだと思ったら、どんどん悪くなるだろう。

It's our mind that controls our life.
If we think our life is not good, then our life
will be worse.

でも、人生って素晴らしい！と思ったら
人生は本当にいいものになるだろう。

But, if we think our life to be wonderful,
then our life will be a great one.

できると思えばできる。
できないと思えばできない。
そんなことを今日思い出した。

If we think we can make it, we can.
If we think we can't make it, we can't.
I recalled that fact today.

今朝、何か幸せないかなあと近くの公園を散歩しました。
とっても短い散歩でしたが、青空のもとリフレッシュできました＾＾

I was walking around the nearby park this morning
to find something happy.
Although it was very short walk, I could have a
refreshing time under the blue sky.

実を言うと、最近お疲れモードになってしまっていて。
休むことって、大切ですね。

To tell the truth, I had been worn out these days.
Taking a rest is very important...


「しあわせは探すものじゃなくて今いる場所にあるんだよ」

Happiness is not something you search for,
It's right in front of you.


自分が幸せかどうか、決められるのは自分だけ。
どうせなら、いつも幸せだよって心から
言えるようにしたいなあ。
修行中の身です。はい。

I am the only person who can decide
if I'm happy or not.
I want to be able to say "I'm happy."
anytime, anywhere.
I'm now in the middle of training ^^;
