I saw Michael Jackson's movie, THIS IS IT.
I like his songs and his voice, but I didn't know him well
before his death.
I just knew some famous songs.

マイケル・ジャクソンの映画「THIS　IS　IT」を観て来ました。
彼の歌や声が好きですが、彼の死の前は彼自身のことをあまりよく知りませんでした。
有名な歌をいくつか知っていただけで。


When the news of his cardiac arrest first appeared on TV,
I was at home and I couldn't take my eyes off of the TV.
Although I wasn't a big fan, the news shocked me
and I was amazed by the way media treated the news.
They spent very long time on this news.
(I saw both Japanese news and CNN.)

彼の心拍停止のニュースが最初に流れた時
私は家にいて、テレビのニュースに釘付けになった。
大ファンではなかったけれど、すごくショックを受けた。
メディアの報道の仕方にもびっくりした。
そのニュースばかりだったから。
（日本のニュースもCNNも見ていました）


I wanted to know what the reality was.
I also wanted to see him on stage.
At the end of the movie, I cried.
His stage performance and his attitude towards the stage
was beyond my expectation, and what moved me most was his personality.

真実がどうなのか知りたかった。
彼のステージがどんなものなのかも見てみたかった。
映画の終わりに、泣いてしまった。
ステージも、ステージに対する思いも想像以上だったし、
何より心を打ったのは彼自身だった。


He was a great person, true genious.
And, he had a very warm heart.
I feel very sorry for him.
I wish his songs and his thoughts will live
on forever.

本当に偉大な人で、本物の天才だったんだな。
そしてあったかい心の持ち主だった。
ものすごく悲しくなりました。
彼の歌、彼の思いがこれからも生き続けますように・・・。

At first, we planned to finish walking and kayaking in the morning,
however, when we got back from the walk, it was already 12 noon.

最初の計画では午前中に散歩とカヌーを終えるつもりだったけれど
散歩から戻るとすでにもう昼の１２時。


I was very hungry by that time, but, we didn't have anything
to eat for lunch except for snacks.

すでにすごくおなかが減っていた。
でもお菓子以外昼ごはんになるものがなかった。


We drove to a small store near the campsite.
I wanted to buy riceballs, though there wasn't any.
We bought cup noodles(instant noodles) and some bread.

キャンプ場の近くの小さな商店へ。
おにぎりが欲しかったけれどなかった。
なのでインスタントヌードルとパンを購入。


After lunch, we started kayaking at last.
We thought it might be too shallow to kayak,
but it was deep enough.
Some points were as deep as 4 meters.

昼ごはんの後、ついにカヌー！
水がちょっと浅すぎるかなとも思ったけれど
十分深かった。
場所によっては４メートルくらいあった。


The water was so clear and calm.
The surface was like a mirror reflecting the world above it.
We could see fish swimming by.
We saw big carps, too.

水は本当に澄んでいて、穏やかだった。
水面は地上の景色を映していて鏡みたいだった。
魚もいました。大きな鯉も泳いでた。




The stream was gentle and we returned to the
starting point easily.
I really want to visit there again!

流れが穏やかだったので、スタート地点に
ちゃんと戻ることが出来ました。
四万十川、また行きたいです！！

On the second day, I finally got out of tent around 7.
It was a really beautiful morning without a cloud in the sky.
When I looked at the river, I saw the mist coming up from its surface.

二日目、私は７時ごろにテントを出ました。
すごくいい天気で、空には雲ひとつなかった。
川のほうを見ると、水面からもやが上がっていた。


I quickly took my camera and started taking photos.
I love to take nature photos so much.
For a while, I became like a photographer :)

すぐにカメラを持ち出して写真を撮り始めた。
自然を撮るのがすごく好きで
しばらくの間カメラマンみたいになっていた（笑）。

We had hotdogs for breakfast.
They were just normal hotdogs with sausage, egg and cabbage,
though they tasted far better.
It was a very happy moment to have breakfast
under the gentle morning sunshine, listening to the chirping of birds.

朝ごはんはホットドッグ。
ソーセージとたまごとキャベツとの、ほんと普通のホットドッグ
だったけれど、とってもおいしかった。
やわらかな朝日のもと、鳥のさえずりを聞きながら
朝ごはん。幸せな一時でした。



After breakfast, we went for a walk to see the
bridge which is particular to Shimanto river.
It's called "Chinka-bashi" which means, the bridge
that can be underwater when a flood or some disaster happens.

朝ごはんのあと、四万十川に特有の橋を見に散歩に行った。
「沈下橋」と呼ばれていて、洪水などの災害にあうと
川の下に沈むようになっている橋。


We thought the walk would finish within an hour, but
it was farther than we expected...
We got very tired, however, it was good because we could enjoy
the beautiful scenary along the Shimanto river :)

散歩は一時間弱で終わるだろうと思っていたけれど
その橋はもっと遠かった。
すごく疲れたけれど、四万十川の美しい風景を見れてよかった＾＾
